Namsai: Tai people regard the Buddhist shrine as a centre of religion and social activities. In the religious life of the Tai community, the Bhikkhu (Chow Mun)occupies an august and respectable position. In every Tai village, there must be a monastery and a Bhikkhu to perform all the religious activities and Ceremonies of the village.
